Trip Notes
Bob Power led us on a trip to the very popular Merced NWR, which today was packed with bay area birders and photographers. We got to see the "goose bomb" quite a few times, as the white geese kept exploding off the ground time and again; we're not sure why. Other highlights included nice looks at eared and horned grebes together and hundreds of scaup flushing up from the quiet of the O'Neill Forebay.
