At our last stop on the Gray Lodge auto tour loop, there were 30 night-herons roosting in a bushy island. These were the only night-herons of the day.

Adult Bald Eagle seen at Butte Sink wetlands quite a long way away - and immature Bald Eagle seen from Pass Road interacting with a Golden Eagle near the top of the westernmost rocky cliff. We tallied 5 different bald eagles for the weekend.

Frighteningly, this bird was observed eating roadkill right on the double yellow line on Highway 20
