The picture I got today of this bird doesn't do it justice. It was bright and beautiful and just magically appeared right where the mailing list said it would be. A fabulous moment.

Trip Notes
We had an excellent time hanging out with SCVAS Executive Director Bob Power atop Hawk Hill. Weirdest look was a Varied Thrush flying high overhead -- what is that guy doing there? Afterwards we successfully chased the beautiful male Hooded Warbler in Sutro Heights Park, and generally enjoyed the city. Gorgeous day
